Thanks in some part to its stellar diving team, China has outpaced the U.S. in gold medals and in total medals as of Monday morning.
The London 2012 games are stacking up much like the 2008 Bejing games for China, which continues its dominance in diving and strong showings in other competitions.
The U.S. trails China 28-31 in gold medals and 61-64 total medals. But host nation Great Britian continues to stack up the medals with a huge win in Men's individual tennis. England has 17 gold and 39 total medals, coming in third in the overall tally.
