An accident which appears to have involved three cars at the intersection of Allenwood Road and Route 138 shut the northbound portion of the local road before noon today.

Southbound Allenwood Road at the intersection with the state highway was blocked off as three cars were being loaded onto flatbed tow trucks shortly before noon Wednesday.

Police were directing traffic away from the site of the crash as the cars were loaded. Route 138 traffic was unimpeded.

It was not immediately known if anyone suffered injuries in the collision. No further information was immediately available at 12:15 p.m.
