Girl Scout cookie booth sales begin this Friday, March 1, at hundreds of local businesses and organizations throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties, according to a release.

Area Girl Scouts will distribute approximately 91,000 cases of Thin Mints, Samoas and six other cookie varieties. More than 1,100 booth sales have been scheduled, according to a girl scout release.

The Girl Scout Cookie Locator is available online and for the iPhone and Android. This free app lets you search for Girl Scout cookie booth locations by zip code. It also uses GPS data to automatically find the Girl Scout cookie sale closest to your current location.
