POLL: Go Wall, Beat Squan!

Annual turkey day festivities bring out thousands

Thousands will descend on Manasquan High School tomorrow for the annual football game against the Wall Crimson Knights.

It’s a game that means more about uniting communities than it does about football, or games, or wins or losses. And with Wall’s win last year, there is no statistical advantage to either team. In the past 12 games, each team has half a dozen wins.

The Knights have struggled this season, having graduated nearly all its starting players at the end of last year.  Wall finished the season with a 2-5-1 record. The Warriors come into tomorrow’s game with an even record at 4-4.

The Game Day forecast looks promising: mostly sunny with a high around 55 degrees.

Warriors Stadium gates open at 9 a.m. Kickoff is at 11 a.m.

The Board of Education is running shuttle buses from the Circle Factory Outlet center at Route 35 and Atlantic Avenue before, during and after the game. No parking, other than handicapped parking, is available.
