Manasquan and Wall Cares Partner for Hurricane Relief

Donations collected will fund assistance and restoration efforts in Squan

Manasquan officials this week announced a joint partnership with a Wall not-for-profit to raise funds for the rebuilding effort in town following Hurricane Sandy.

Through the partnership with Wall Cares Inc., a 501(c)3 charitable organization founded to help others in need, all funds donated will be targeted towards the assistance and restoration of the borough, according to a borough release.

All donations, which are tax deductible, will go to borough assistance, with no administrative fees, the release says.

Corporate matching funds are also available, the release says. Donors are encouraged to ask their employers.

I would just like to clarify that there are actually two funds set up that people can donate to. One is the Manasquan Hurricane Restoration Fund. Proceeds from this fund will go toward reconstruction efforts of public areas of Manasquan. The second fund is the Manasquan Hurricane Public Relief Fund. Proceeds from this fund will go toward helping residents of Manasquan who are in need as a result of the Hurricane. Folks can donate to either or both funds.
