Pair Of New Police Officers Sworn In

New patrolmen will begin duties with the Police Department in January

Two new officers were joined the ranks of the Police Department on Wednesday after a short swearing-in ceremony during the Township Committee’s regular meeting.

Vincent Reinecke, 24, of Avon and Anthony Marino, 25, of Howell, took the oath of office and became the newest Wall Township Police officers.

The pair replace two positions left open because of retirements in the Police Department, keeping staffing at the same levels, Chief Robert Brice said.

Reinecke received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Farleigh Dickenson University. He was a substitute teacher at Monmouth Regional High School and most recently he was a special officer in Point Pleasant Beach, Brice said.

Marino holds an associate degree from Brookdale Community College. He has been a special officer and dispatcher in Bradley Beach for the last six years, Brice said.

The pair will begin duties in January, with a starting salary of $41,450.46, according to the resolution setting their pay.
