Police Asking For Help Catching Purse Thieves
Authorities are looking for two white men in their 30s pictured in the photographs
Police are hoping to identify two men connected with a purse snatching at a local supermarket on Wednesday.
A Point Pleasant woman was loading groceries into her car in the parking lot of the Route 34 Shop Rite when a male passenger of a small, silver colored vehicle took the woman’s purse from the rear tailgate of her car, Sgt. Erik Ertle said.
The man got into the passenger side of the silver car, which fled eastbound on Lakewood Road, Ertle said.
It was later determined that the woman’s credit cards were used at two separate businesses on Route 66 in Neptune, Ertle said.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please call the department’s main number: (732) 449-4500.

Using a stolen credit card for about $20.00 worth of stuff where there's a camera staring right at you for easy identification says....stuck on stupid. Don't imagine the dog will care how he got the food, but the girlfriend might not be so pleased with the candy and card when she finds out.

how desperate do you have to be to swipe a pocketbook and run right out and grab junk like this.....geeze! Now if it was baby food, diapers, formula I could understand (not condone) the thought process but holy cow this guy must have silly putty for brains for dog food, water and Valentine's stuff.
