Wall Township police brought Christmas cheer to children at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Police distributed donated toys to 36 children ranging in age from a few weeks old to 17 as part of a community policing initiative aimed at showing children that police are there to help them.

Officers were able to help a 4-year-old whose home was destroyed by superstorm Sandy rebuild her doll collection with the gift of donated Snow White dolls. Another little girl was the lucky recipient of a Dora the Explorer play set, while several of the teens got cameras or mp3 players, donated by Best Buy.
