Questions and statements from the public are being accepted until July 13.

The Monmouth County Planning Board is looking for comments from the public as it considers the adoption of its county road plan.

The plan is one element of the Monmouth County Growth Management Guide, which includes smart growth and form-based zoning to attract growth but maintain and manage infrastructure and quality of life.

The county is accepting questions and comments from the public. Submit by mail, fax or email until July 13.

Not that bulldozing anybody's yard is ever a wise idea, I didn't see how the map provided bicycle alternatives or lanes to all the major highways. Mayor Nutter of Philadelphia recently unveiled a regional path system plan, which I don't see here.

With the great parks already in place, and routes such as the Hudson Trail and the Edgar Felix Bike Path, the puzzle pieces for riding to the shore are already there without widening. They just need to be assembled. And yes, offroad, separate, bicycle-pedestrian paths can increase property values by up to $8,800.

Do we really want to increase property values ,so our taxes will go higher ? ...higher values serves no purpose other than giving an excuse for our politicians to crank up their wealth extraction machine ( taxation) .I've lived in my home for over 30 years people must start to realize a home is not a investment it's to live in !
