For a quiet day at the beach, consider Spring Lake, which features the longest stretch of non-commercial boardwalk in the state.
- Beach badges are $100 for a seasonal pass; $60 for 1/2 season — Memorial Day Weekend through July 31 and Aug. 1 through Labor Day; $8 daily. Children aged 11 and younger are free.
- Street parking is free, but limited.
- Food and glass containers are not allowed on the beach, but there are two pavillions on either end of the 2-mile stretch of beach where food is available.
