Sweltering Summer Weather Could Mean Large Crowds This Weekend
Traffic is light as temperatures dip slightly
With temperatures crossing into triple digits all through the area today this should be a busy weekend on the Jersey Shore. However, as of 7:40 Friday night, there is very little traffic to report on the local roadways.
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority reports that there are very few problems on both the Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, except for at the Hudson River Crossings.
In Berkeley Township, a downed pole and downed wires is making for difficult driving conditions on Route 9. On the northbound side between Korman Road and Ocean Gate Drive all lanes are closed which is making for heavy delays in the area.
Check back with Patch.com on Sunday for an update on traffic leaving the Jersey Shore.
