Two Incumbent School Board Members Will Not Seek Re-Election
Melissa Peters and Deidre Kukucka do not file by Tuesday's deadline
Three people filed petitions to run for three open seats on the Board of Education by Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline, according to the Monmouth County Clerk's Office.
Incumbent School Board President John Tavis was the only incumbent who filed to run for one of three open seats on the 9-member board in the November election. Sitting board members Melissa Peters and Diedre Kukucka did not file by the deadline, according to the clerk's office.
Tavis, of 1610 Holly Blvd., filed to run for a full, three-year term. He was previously elected to a one-year, unexpired term.
Newcomers Kenneth J. Dioguardi, of 2315 Orchard Crest Blvd. and Robin Zawodniak, of 1439 Garrett Dr., also filed to run for full, three-year terms, according to the clerk's office.

Do not know Ms. Peters... but I am to glad to get rid of Diedre Kukucka she has been nothing but a puppet for her own selfish motives way to long. She did not care about our kids. She worried about the superintendent Dr. Habel who she praised as a visionary a few times over the year. NOT! He had to be the worst superintendent in Wall thus far. It is all coming out now. It is disgusting what some of these BOE will do. They never make the best decisions for the Wall Community Students or the tax paying residents.
