A pair of Shore area men were arrested and charged with burglary and criminal mischief after police found them sleeping in a vehicle neither owned and causing hundreds in damage, according to arrest warrants.

Police on Sunday arrested and charged John J. Brown, 47, of Belmar and Todd M. Cross, 43, of Lake Como with sleeping in someone else’s vehicle and causing less than $500 in damage by leaving debris and garbage inside, according to the warrants.

The warrants do not say where the vehicle was parked.

Brown and Cross were taken to Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in lieu of $27,000 bail, each according to jail records.
