The NJHDA Shipwreck Colloquium is pleased to have Dan Lieb give a presentation on New Jersey shipwrecks. The presentation will be on January 24, 2013 at 8 PM at InfoAge. This event is free to the public and is presentation is ideal for ages 8 and up. The New Jersey Shipwreck Museum will be open before and after the presentation. Admission is free. Donations are gladly accepted.

Dan will discuss the reasons why so many vessels met their fates along the New Jersey Shore. Weather, geography, concentration of traffic and many other reasons led to the loss of millions of dollars in property and thousands of lives. In time, the area would come to be known as the “Graveyard of the Atlantic.”
