Kids Day America, Delayed, But Ready To Go Saturday

10th annual celebration to take place Oct. 1

The township's celebration, canceled last weekend because of rain, is set for Saturday.

The 10th Annual celebration, sponsored by Wall Community Alliance and , has been rescheduled for Oct. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind town hall, 2700 Allaire Rd. It is expected to attract more than 1,000 people.

“This is not only a fun day but a learning day as well,” said Kristin Meyler, Alliance Coordinator and organizer of the event.”There will be health, safety, prevention and wellness vendors on hand with lots of free giveaways.”

Kids Day America will feature a petting zoo, moonwalk, clowns, balloons and other goodies all free of charge. In addition, Yosi, the well-known children’s musician, is scheduled to perform at 12:45 p.m. during the event.

Kids Day America is funded by community sponsors, including the event’s Diamond Sponsor,. The Wall Community Alliance is funded in part through a grant from the Governor’s Council on Drug and Alcohol Abuse and the Monmouth County Division of Drug and Alcohol Abuse.
