A tiny seaside hamlet on the north side of the Shark River Inlet, Avon boasts a total land area of just 4/10 of a square mile.
- Beach badges: $90 for a regular adult seasonal pass; Seniors $45 and Young Adult (12-18) $45; $9 daily. Age 11 and under: free; required beginning Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. They can be purchased on the boardwalk between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Washington Ave., Sylvania Ave. or Norwood Ave. tag booths. Call ahead for availability at 732-502-4510.
- Lifeguards are onsite weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend and full time on June 18th through Labor Day.
- Parking: Free street parking.
- Bathrooms: On the boardwalk at Lincoln Ave. and Norwood Ave.
- Food and drink: Allowed. No alcohol.
