Belmar: A Favored Destination

Beach badge prices, lifeguard hours

One of the Jersey Shore's most popular destinations, Belmar's beaches stretch for more than a mile.

  • Beach badges: $50 for seasonal pass; $15 for seniors; $7 daily; free for children 15 and younger and active duty military and their families. Badges are required beginning Memorial Day weekend from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., on weekends only until the third Monday of June, when badges are required every day until Labor Day. Badges are on sale at Borough Hall, 601 Main St. until Memorial Day weekend and at boardwalk ticket booths thereafter.
  • Lifeguard hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
  • Parking: Metered street parking on the East side of Ocean Avenue, free on the west.
  • Bathrooms: On the boardwalk every few blocks from 3rd to 19th avenues. Facilities are also available at Taylor Pavilion at 5th Avenue and at the 10th Avenue pavilion.
  • Food and drink: Allowed. No alcohol or glass bottles. Smoking prohibited except in designated areas.
