Belmar Beach Reopens for Easter Egg Hunt

Finding prizes on the beach, undergoing its rebuilding since Sandy

Saturday marked the first Easter Egg Hunt for Belmar since Hurricane Sandy, and though the landscape was different, the strategy for finding eggs in the sand remain unchanged: dig and exclaim in delight when you find one.

Logistically, the event saw a concentration of crowds and age groups using one beach access point, where in previous years the borough used four entrances to corral children and egg hunters.

Nevertheless the sunny weather and a visit from the Easter Bunny helped add fun and excitement to the day.
