An 1836 Temperance event was held Sunday at Allaire Village. It began with a meeting and rally of the Howell Works Temperance Society in the Historic Village of Allaire and featured inspiring speeches against the horrors of “Demon Rum” and the taking of the Temperance Oath by villagers and visitors alike.
