Farmingdale Pizzeria Hosting Autism Awareness Event

Money raised to benefit Team Bradley

Tuesday is World Autism Awarness Day and a local family has teamed up with Bruno's Pizzeria in Farmingdale to raise money for Autism Speaks.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 15 percent of sales will go to the organization. Amy Huizenga, whose son is the inspiration behind Team Bradley said Bruno's is an ideal place to have such a fundraiser because they serve gluten free pizza.

"Since so many people with Autism are on the Gluten Free diet this is a great place to hold the event and it is on the best day of the year to do it!"
