Gas Price Monday: Hefty Jump In Fuel Cost

There isn't much to be happy about this week at the pumps. The price for gas has jumped around 15 cents at most stations.

The last two weeks had given us some hope that the steady incline had halted, but this jump shows that the worst of it may not be over.

Our reining champion of four weeks, the gulf station on Allaire Road, has jumped 14 cents and has fallen all the way out of the top five this week.

The winner this week is Race Star Gas at a rate of $3.37 per gallon, cash price, for regular grade gasoline.

The runner up is the Sunoco Station located on Belmar Boulevard for a rate of $3.39 per gallon, cash.
