Gas Price Monday: New Year, Higher Prices

Average cash price for gallon of regular grade is $3.25

Gas prices are starting off the 2012 about 20 cents higher than they averaged at the end of 2011. Happy New Year. The average cash price of the 18 stations in town is $3.25, a far cry from the under $3 prices we saw near the end of last year.

As usual, the Gulf station at Route 35 and Allaire Road is selling the cheapest gallon at $3.18. The Getty station at Allenwood Road and Route 34 in the northwest end of town is this week’s winner of the highest priced gallon at $3.39.
