Mount Debris

Debris from Point Pleasant and locales south is being piled up at Route 70 and Route 35

It's big, this pile -- a not-so-subtle reminder of the havoc caused by Hurricane Sandy. This pile of debris used to be the houses and the contents thereof from Point Pleasant and other Ocean County devastated by the storm. The location, at the intersection of routes 70 and 35, is temporarily being used by the state as a staging area for the remnants of the powerful storm.
