Restrictions, Delays Slow Traffic on the Turnpike and the Parkway

The speed limit is 45 miles an hour on both the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway.

A snowstorm that the area overnight is slowing traffic down Wednesday morning, and there are speed limit restrictions in place on the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Parkway, according to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s website.

The speed limit on the New Jersey Turnpike is 45 miles an hour in both directions between the Delaware Memorial Bridge in Pennsville and the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee due to road conditions.

The speed limit on the Garden State Parkway is 45 miles an hour in both directions between Southern Terminus/CR 109 in Cape May and Exit 129 for the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge.

Additionally, an accident just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning blocked the left lane northbound on the Parkway at Exit 98 in Wall.

Several delays were reported on both roads due to accidents and volume.
