String Fever Bluegrass Band Plans Free Concert

Event Begins 2 p.m. Saturday at Wall Library

The String Fever Bluegrass Band is scheduled to perform a free concert at the on Saturday. The 2 p.m. show will be held in the library’s Community Room.

"During these tough times, the Wall Library strives to bring the community together by giving people a chance to enjoy an afternoon or evening out without paying the high cost of concert tickets," said Janet Trotter, library branch manager. "We offer a variety of musical programs throughout the year…something for everyone’s taste.”

The String Fever Band specializes in a bluegrass sound, with country, folk, jazz and blues incorporated as well. The five-member band has been playing venues across New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania since 1993.

A String Fever show is a well-paced blend of music and humor, according to the band’s mySpace.com page.

The five-member band includes Bruce Jepson, lead vocals, guitar and Dobro (resonator guitar); Peter Becker, mandolin and vocals; Ridley Enslow, fiddle and vocals; Sandy Joren, bass and vocals and Mickey Maguire, banjo and vocals.
