Walk For Wishes Scheduled For Saturday

Second annual tradition started by two Wall High School Students

The Second Annual Walk For Wishes charity run/walk is scheduled to step off Saturday at town hall.

The event, a 5k run or 2-mile walk, is a charity fundraiser for the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey. It steppes off at 9 a.m. from the municipal complex, 2700 Allaire Rd.

The annual tradition was started last year by Wall Township High School students Tyler Berardo and Kerry Brigman – two students who wanted to further benefit the charities that they were previously involved with.

Last year’s event attracted about 160 runners/walkers, raising about $3,000, which was divided evenly between the two charities.

Entry fees are $20 for adults, $10 for 12 years old and under before March 22 and $25 for adults the day of the race and $15 for 12 and under.
