Wall Fair Continues For A Second Day

Fireworks will cap the three-day fair tonight

The first-ever expanded Wall Fair continued Saturday as hundreds filled the municipal fields behind town hall for the second of the three-day event.

Wall Police Sgt. Steve DesMarais said there have been no problems so far at the event and

"It's mostly local residents and it’s very family oriented," DesMarais said. "I can't think of too many things where there are this many local residents in one centralized area in Wall."

Donna Farina, owner of Ralph’s Italian Ice on Route 35 echoed DesMarais’ comments about the family atmosphere.

"The Wall Fair is a nice thing for the community to come out and for families to get together,” Farina said. "They've done a good job building the event up and in time, more populations will come because now its mostly central towns like Wall, Sea Girt and Manasquan but in time, it hopefully will become a Monmouth County event."
