PHOTOS: Touch A Truck Event A Huge Success

Many township children – and perhaps some adults, too – who’ve always wanted to climb inside a racecar, fire truck or helicopter will have a chance later this month when the Wall Township Recreation Department holds its second annual "Touch-A-Truck'' charity event.

Dump trucks. Police cars. Tanks. Helicopter.

Heavy machinery of all kinds were on display Saturday at the Wal Municipal complex for the towns second annual Touch A Truck event.

Kids were able to sit behind the steering wheels of their favorite trucks, or cranes or other heavy equipment, take pictures and explore everything about their favorite vehicles.

The free event raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Jersey, which helps grant wishes for children between the ages of 2 and 18 with life-threatening medical conditions.
