Allaire Village Hosts Historical State Fair

Visitors experienced first-hand five centuries of NJ history

Allaire State Park on Saturday hosted The 2011 Spirit of the Jerseys State History Fair.

The event featured military exhibits and reenactments, a collection of antique cars and a 19th century baseball game.

In previous years the fair had been held in Mercer County, and was not held at all last year due to limited resources, DEP spokeswoman Beverly Weaver said.
