Allaire Village To Host Civil War Encampment
Living history museum presents free historical event Saturday and Sunday
this weekend is scheduled to hold a Civil War encampment at the living history museum.
The free event, presented in conjunction with the New Jersey Civil War Heritage Association, will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There is a $5 parking fee.
Artillery demonstrations, battalion drills, musket cleaning, dress parades and a farewell at the train station as troops leave for the front are part of the scheduled festivities.
