Base Of Terror Back For Another Frightful Season

Hundreds came to have their wits scared out of them at the annual fright-fest at Camp Evans and the legions of volunteers are ready to put it all together again this weekend when Camp Evans Base of Terror opens again Friday.

Set at the historic Camp Evans site on Marconi Road in Wall, the Base of Terror attraction runs every weekend through Halloween. Tickets are $12.50 each for everyone eight years old and older. The attraction is not recommended for young audiences.

The Base of Terror is a ½-mile walk through the retired Army camp, which has long been rumored to be haunted. Organizers said they have completely re-imagined the horror show for this year and brought back some scary old favorites, such as "The Butcher.''

Camp Evans is located at 2201 Marconi Road, at Monmouth Boulevard. The Base of Terror runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturday’s through October.
