Belmar Pro Surfing Competition Wraps Up Sunday

The 10th annual Belmar Pro surfing competition wraps up today.

The Annual Foster’s Belmar Pro surfing competition comes to an end Sunday with an award ceremoney on the 16th Avenue beach.

The event began Thursday and has endured wet weather and occaisonally uncooperative seas as Junior, Pro, Women’s Pro and Masters Pro competitors from throughout the country and around the world squared off.

For this year's 10th anniversary, professional surfing legend Tom Curren, a three-time World Champion, came to Belmar, along with his sons Patrick and Frank, who surfed the Junior competition.
