Free Yosi Concert to Kick Off Library's Summer Reading Program

Popular children's musician scheduled to appear 6:30 p.m. Thursday

The Wall Library's summer reading program is scheduled to kick off in festive style on Thursday evening with a free concert by Yosi, a popular children's musician.

The 6:30 p.m. concert will be held in the Community Room of the library, 2700 Allaire Road. Children under age 5 must be accompanied by an adult.

About 200 to 300 children are expected to register for the "One World, Many Stories" themed reading program, according to Children's Librarian Tracey Curtis. The children's summer reading program is open to residents of Wall Township through sixth grade. A “Read to Me” program is in place for children who are not yet able to read on their own.

To complete the summer reading program, a child must record a minimum number of hours spent reading from now through mid-August.  A party is planned for those children who successfully record their hours via the library website.
