Annual train and Holiday Village show runs weekends through Jan. 2

The annual train show and holiday village display will be open weekends through Jan. 2 at

The museum's annual holiday attraction opened Dec. 10 and features train layouts, holiday villages, radio control cars and a Pinewood Derby Track, according to an event flyer.

"It started out as a modest village at my own home,'' said Michael Golub, a member of the InfoAge board of directors during a short presentation at the Dec. 15 Township Council meeting. "It's now grown to over 250 buildings all lit. It's probably New Jersey's largest Christmas decoration.''

Donation is $5. For every child under 12, an adult is free. The display is open Fridays 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.; Saturdays Noon to 8 p.m. and Sundays Noon to 6 p.m.

InfoAge, located at the historic Camp Evans Army site, was the 1914 Marconi Belmar Trans-Atlantic Wireless station and later played a key role the development of radar. It has been used as a Cold War technology site, a nuclear-weapons research site and is the birthplace of satellite-based hurricane tracking.
