School Board Calls Emergency Meeting

Board to talk in closed session about school security, agenda says.

The Board of Education has called an emergency meeting for Tuesday morning, citing school security issues as the reason for its closed-door session.

The meeting, scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in the superintendent’s conference room, will open for public comment before the panel calls a closed session, according to the agenda.

Executive, or closed, session allows the panel to talk privately under certain conditions.

The closed session being called for Tuesday is so the board can “to discuss matters concerning school security,’’ the agenda says. It is not more specific.
