Elderly Wall Man Was Missing From Shop Rite Lot in Wall

Richard Craw, who suffers from dementia, was last seen by a caretaker who he dropped off at the Shop Rite

A 94-year-old Wall man who suffers from dementia is missing after a caretaker left him driving a car in the Shop Rite parking lot on Route 34 in Wall on Friday, police said.

On Friday, the Wall Township Police Department took a report of a missing man identified as Richard Craw.

Craw was last seen at approximately 11:30 a.m. Friday by his live-in caretaker outside the Shop Rite. 

Craw had been driving the car and dropped off the woman so she could go into Shop Rite, police said. The woman was expecting him to park the car and wait for her to come out, police said.

But when the woman returned to the parking lot, Craw was not there, said police, who have scoured the lot and the surrounding areas.

Craw was last seen operating a green 2001 Ford Escape with New Jersey registration “LSJ48W.”

A Silver Alert was issued yesterday for Craw and his vehicle. 

According to family, Craw suffers from early stage dementia.
