It's upon us.

If you were able to ignore the Christmas decorations going up in area stores before Halloween was even over, you really can't anymore. It's here, the season when every retailer is trying to lure you into their stores.

It's at time when even the most hardened of cynics break down and join the masses in trying to pump up the lagging economy by spreading a little wealth around.

But where to go and to whom do you give your hard-earned money this holiday season? Does any big box store do just fine, or are you hoping to give your money to a local merchant, bolstering a little home-town economic recovery? Mix of both? Do you skip the check-out lines entirely and go online?
