Ribbon cutting officially opens Trinity Solar on Allenwood Road facility

The new facility for Trinity Solar, the fourth fastest growing company in the state, was officially opened today with a ribbon cutting ceremony with local and state officials.

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno was the featured speaker at the short morning event outside the 140,000-square-foot facility at 2211 Allenwood Road, just off Route 34 south.

The company, which had recently that had been largely vacant for years, employs more than 400 people and had outgrown its facility in Freehold, said Tom Pollock, company CEO.

The company, which designs and installls solar electricity panels, has grown from 26 people in 2004. It is the largest solar employer in the state and the largest solar integrator on the East Coast and installs more solar panels than its 10 closest competitors combined, Guadano said.

"This is a true New Jersey success story,'' Guadagno said. "You cannot put a dollar figure that the 415 employees will bring here to Wall and to Monmouth County.''

Mayor Jeffrey Foster, Deputy Mayor Todd Luttman, Committeeman Clinton Hoffman and even Police Chief Robert Brice attened the 9 a.m. ceremony.

Foster said he was thrilled to see Trinity come to town and pledged to help the company with their needs in the future.

"It's a clean ratable,'' Foster said. "This is great for Wall Township and we're going to do whatever we can to help them."

Pollack in his speech thanked the administration of Gov. Chris Christie for putting a priority on the budding solar industry and township officials for making the company feel welcome.

"We'd like to thank the town of Wall,'' Pollock said, addressing the crowd of employees and supporters. "It's a phenomenal thing that they have done. They made us feel like friends and family.''
