TELL US: What Should the Vacant Olde Silver Tavern Become?

Think outside of the box! What would be the perfect business for the vacant Olde Silver Tavern location?

The Olde Silver Tavern, which officially closed their doors late last year, still remains vacant on Route 522 in Manalapan Township.

With the sign covered and the doors and windows all boarded up, the building stands as a constant reminder that the popular bar and grill no longer exists. So now that the building is left vacant, what would you type of business would you like to see occupy it?

Would you like to see another bar and grill? A fancy restaurant? Or, maybe you think a retail establishment is better suited for this location.

Let Patch know what you think would be the perfect business for this location in the comments below!

I totally agree with Kevin. I think that the old bartenders should get together and buy the place. Reminds me of Cheers. It was a great place. We don't need another CVS or whatever. Keep them out "No more Corporation takeovers"

Man, I really would like to have another bar pie from the Old Silver Tavern before I die. Rebuild it as it was and you will have to fight to get a table at that place.

It should become a resturant/bar and show hall. Like the Brighton bar in long branch!

Like to see it return as a bar/restaurant. Local music/open mic night would be great. Maybe outdoor seating.

I was considering purchasing it, to renovate it and open a fantasy game room and hobby shop. (Most RPG's begin in an inn, so reworking the interior to resemble a medieval fantasy inn would be almost as cool as buying a castle!) The space could be used for both tabletop gaming like Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder, GURPS, as well as LARP (live action role playing) with patrons dressed up as their favorite characters! Naturally, the actual alcohol would have to be dispensed with. We might keep the kitchen to serve actual food, as most game rooms and hobby shops only serve munchies like chips and soda.
