JERSEY MEMORIAL GROUP LAUNCHES OCEANSIDE MEMORIAL HOME

Lake Como, NJ (Tuesdsay, October 22, 2013) -- Jersey Memorial Group has announced the grand opening of the Oceanside Memorial Home, which is a new memorial facility located at 2014 Main Street in Lake Como, NJ.

Oceanside joins Jersey Memorial Group’s other family-owned and operated funeral homes -- Old Bridge Funeral Home in Old Bridge and Waitt Funeral Home in Morganville -- in offering state-of-the-art facilities, products and services to families saying a final farewell to their loved one.

Jersey Memorial Group Principal, David Hernandez Jr., commented on his family’s philosophy in developing the Oceanside Memorial Home and its services, saying, “Life is full of opportunities to show someone we love them. One such opportunity is the funeral or memorial service. Such a loving event should celebrate the choices someone made, the relationships they shared, and honor their memory.”

In addition to funeral, burial and cremation services, Oceanside offers a broader spectrum of services including interactive aftercare and grief counseling for families and the community.

Rosemarie Reilly, MA, formerly of Reilly Funeral Home, has joined the company as funeral director and bereavement specialist.

Born and raised in the family business and in Belmar, she later joined the Visiting Nurse Association as a bereavement coordinator for the hospice program where she organized bereavement support groups and the memorial program.

“I’m excited about working with Jersey Memorial Group and Oceanside Memorial Home because the Hernandez family has such an outstanding reputation,” said Reilly.

She noted that as funeral director, she will be using her education and expertise to augment their services by developing bereavement support programs in all three Jersey Memorial Group locations.

“It’s critical to go beyond the traditional service offerings and provide grieving families with the emotional support they need when dealing with the loss of a loved one,” Reilly explained.

Hernandez also noted that Oceanside will be offering community workshops on pre-planning services and making the most of your veteran’s benefits.

They will also offer pet cremations, burials, tributes and services.  “Let’s face it,” said Hernandez, “animals are often members of our family. They ask so little of us, and give so much love in return. When it comes time for someone to let go of an animal companion, making the decisions on how to care for their physical remains can be heart-wrenching.  We hope to make it a beautiful memory instead.”
