The Garden State Quarter Midget Racing Club will hold its annual Promotional Day on this Saturday, June 4 from 9 AM to 4 PM. The club is a non-profit childrens organization which has racing for ages 5 to 17. Race days are most Sunday afternoons from late March through early November.
This weekend, on Saturday, children who are not members may come to the track, with a parent or guardian, and for a fee, they will have a chance to drive an actual quarter midget. Cars, safety equipment and basic instructional time are just a part of what your future racer will receive for the $25 cost. Each participant will also receive other awards, including a picture of them, with the car they drive and in their safety equipment.
For information or to pre-register for this event, please contact Pat Totaro at 609-888-2663 or visit the club's website at www.gardenstateqmrc.com
Sunday will see the club racing a Regular Show for 9 divisions. Car counts have been in the high 70s to high 90s since the beginning of the season in March.
Racing starts at 10 a.m. with heats and runs through the afternoon until all A-mains (feature races) have been run. Admission is FREE! Refreshments are available from the Snack Shack on premises.
Lil' Wall is located on the property of Wall Stadium Speedway at 1803 State Route 34 in Wall.
