GSQMRC Holds Annual Jay Butler Memorial Race Weekend
GSQMRC held its Annual Jay Butler Memorial this past weekend. Brandon Grosso and Tyler Reeser would each take two wins. Miranda Carr and Shawna Winters would also take Trophy race wins.
The Garden State Quarter Midget Racing Club held its Annual Jay Butler Memorial Race Weekend on Friday, September 16 through Sunday, September 18. One hundred thirty five cars took the track at Lil' Wall for timing Saturday morning. Lower mains were run through some of the B-mains before the track closed down to attend the special JB III Memorial race at Big Wall Stadium next door.
Sunday morning saw the club finishing up the B-mains and racing A-mains, as well as Trophy races for the Senior Stock, Half, Light World Formula and Heavy World Formula divisions. Brandon Grosso (Light World Formula) and Tyler Reeser (Heavy World formula) would win their Trophy race as well as each taking another win in Light and Heavy 160 divisions, respectively. Also taking Trophy race checkers would be Miranda Carr (Half) and Shawna Winters (Sr. Stock).
The club will be open this coming Sunday, September 25th for Points Races. They will also hold a special fund raising weekend on Sunday, October 2nd. Each entrant will be asked to add $5 to their fee for the day that will go toward The Junior Diabetes Research Foundation.
