GSQMRC Opens Regular Season
The GSQMRC opened the regular season with 85 cars in the pits. Young Sean Vuksanic won his second Jr Honda A-main of the season as Justin Grosso scored his first ever A-main win in Jr Animal.
The Garden State Quarter Midget Racing Club held their regular season opener this past Sunday, April 15. On a day that felt more like a mid-summer race day than spring, 85 cars took the track at Lil' Wall Stadium on the grounds of Wall Speedway.
The graduating Junior Novice class saw their first action on the track in an A-main with Ryan Kuhlthau taking the checkers. Sean Vuksanic took his second Junior Honda A-main of the season. For the Junior Honda division, Justin Groo brought home his first A-main win as brother Brandon took home the trophy for the Heavy 160 division. Jimmy Potts continued his winning ways from the Garden State Classic two weeks previous coming away with a triple win day - Senior Honda, Light 160 and World Formula.
The best finish of the day came in the Heavy Honda heat race. After a late race caution led to a green-white-checker finish, Louie Keraitis pulled to the inside of Ryan Gerber with Jack Ely going to the inside of Keraitis. Keraitis pulled off the win just a few inches ahead of Gerber; Ely finished third.

The regular season will continue on Sunday, April 22. Sign ins start at 8:30 AM; handlers meeting at 9:45 and racing starts at 10. Admission, as always, is free. Refreshments are available at the track.
