1,000 Still Without Power

JCP&L says customers will be online by weekend, early next week, but Town Hall open until 7 p.m. through Friday

About 1,000 Wall Township residents and businesses are without power, some going on their fourth day in the dark.

Jersey Central Power & Light in a release late Tuesday said those customers still without power in Monmouth and Ocean Counties -- about 65,000 at noon Wednesday -- would likely be brought back online by the weekend, with full power restored system wide by early next week.

In response to the outage, for the past two days has . for residents affected by outages to charge their electronic devices, watch television  and hang out.

Town Hall will be open until 7 p.m. through Friday, according to a flyer, hand-delivered by Public Works employees on Wednesday.
