Affordable Housing Alliance accepting applications for repairs/rehabs

Property owners in town may be eligible for home repair help from the township's Affordable Housing Rehabilitation Program, according to the Affordable Housing Alliance.

The township is looking for income-qualified households to fill two credits of the municipality's Mount Laurel Program obligation, the group says.

The purpose of the program is to bring substandard housing up to code. Substandard units are those requiring repair or replacement of at least one major system, such as a roof, plumbing, heating, electrical, sanitary plumbing and other systems, according to the alliance.
