Car Overturns After Losing Control on Wet Roads

Driver transported for injuries after Hospital Road incident

Wet roadways led to an overturned vehicle Monday evening on Hospital Road in Wall Township.

Police reported that a 6:51 p.m. accident was due to a wet roadway, causing a driver of a 2007 Chevy Cobalt near Squankum-Allenwood Road and Atlantic Avenue.

The vehicle crashed into the embankment and overturned, and the driver, whose name has not been released, was transported to Brick Hospital for injuries.

On Monday, July 22, 2013 at approximately 6:51pm the Wall Township Police Department responded to the area of Hospital Rd between Squankum Allenwood Rd and Atlantic Ave for a report of a motor vehicle crash in which the vehicle involved overturned.  On scene investigation revealed that the driver of a 2007 Chevy Cobalt was traveling on Hospital Rd when they lost control of the vehicle due to the wet roadway.  As a result the vehicle struck the embankment on the shoulder of the road causing the vehicle to overturn and come to rest on the roof.  The driver of the vehicle was transported to Brick Hospital by Wall Community First Aid for minor injuries.  South Wall Fire Department responded and stood by until Glendola Towing was able to right the vehicle.  Patrolwoman Amy Drackwicz is handling the investigation.
