Ocean Grove Beach Hikes Badge Prices

Ocean Grove's boardwalk and beachfront repairs are expected to be complete by Memorial Day weekend

Ocean Grove's boardwalk and beachfront are set to open on schedule on Saturday, May 25 - just in time for Memorial Day.

The south end of the boardwalk will be fully accessible from Bradley Beach to the Embury Avenue bathhouse, which will be fully operational. From Embury Avenue to the Pavilion, damaged sections of the boardwalk have been removed and direct beach access points will be created by Memorial Day. 

Ocean Grove beach badges are offered on a daily, weekly and seasonal basis, with discounts for children and seniors. Daily badges cost $8, weekly cost $40 and seasonal badges cost $80. Seasonal youth badges, for those between 12 and 17, cost $75 while senior citizen seasonal badges, for those over 65, cost $40. Children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult.

Seasonal and weekly Beach badges can be purchased at the beach office on the boardwalk at Embury Avenue. 

Lifeguards are on duty during beach hours. Between May 25 and June 9, beaches will be manned from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. From June 15 to Sept. 2, beaches will be guarded daily between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. every day except Sunday. Sunday hours remain from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. throughout the season, which ends on Sept. 2.

From boogie board races and sand castle competitions to craft shows and concerts, there are events planned every weekend for all age groups this summer in the one-square-mile beach town.
