Deep down a dirt path, an abandoned building off Marconi Road sits in ash after a suspicious fire claimed its wooden roof Thursday afternoon.
The site has several abandoned buildings declining from vandalism and graffiti among the overgrown brush along the Shark River. The site is not far from the Monmouth Boulevard intersection and the dog park.
Wall Police deemed the fire suspicious and the incident remains under investigation.
