JERSEY SHORE GREEK FESTIVAL TO BE HELD JUNE 27, 28 & 29, 2014

Ocean Township – OPABe Greek
for a day at the Jersey Shore Greek Festival on the grounds of St. George Greek
Orthodox Church in Ocean, NJ. 
Traditional Greek food, music, dancing, culture and hospitality will be
overflowing during the spectacular family event scheduled for Fri., June 27,
Sat. June 28 and Sun. June 29.



The much anticipated festival is
expected to draw thousands of visitors, as it did in its inaugural festival
last year.  Traditional Greek food will
include Lamb, Gyros, Souvlaki, Spanakopita, Moussaka, Pastichio, and more.  Then enjoy authentic hand-made pastries such
as Baklava and Karidopita.  Beer and wine
will also be served.  Rain or shine,
under the giant tent will be the place to watch the award-winning church dance
troupe who will be dressed in authentic costumes.  They will invite you to join them so bring
your dancing shoes!  Enjoy shopping at the
Boutique featuring Greek jewelry, icons, Greek specialty items.  Then rest your feet at our Kafenion with a
cup of Greek coffee and your favorite dessert. 
To keep the kids happy, games and rides will also be on-site. 



Tours of St George, the beautiful
Byzantine-style church, will be offered by members of the community and photos
of previous festivals will be on display.  
The Greek Village style layout of the new Church and grounds will lend
itself to a warm and inviting atmosphere.

A special feature during the
festival will be the results of Car Raffle! 
The tickets are $100 each, with only 1,000 tickets to be sold.  The car is a 2014 Lexus IS 250 Sedan from Ray
Catena. To reserve your ticket please contact the church office at

Admission to the festival is $2.00;
children under 6 are free.  A portion of
the admission fee will be donated to charities in Monmouth County (Last year,
more than $7,000 was donated).

The hours of the Jersey Shore Greek Festival are Friday,
June 27 from 5pm – 11pm, Saturday, June 28 from 12 noon to 11pm, and Sunday, June
29 from 1pm to 8pm.
  Parking is free at Ocean Township Middle
