North Wall Little League 11 year olds fall one game short
The North Wall 11-year-old all-stars fell 1 game short in their quest for a Section 3 title on Wednesday night. The North Wall 11 year old all-star had reached the championship game for section 3. North Wall had a great run, but fell a little short losing 12-7 to Nottingham Little League. Some of the highlights of their great run.
In the District Championship game North Wall defeated South Wall 12-1, Riley Maypother pitched a 4 hitter, Jared Scheinenger and Riley Maypother, had 2 hits a piece, while Mike Griggs and Andy Lenneper added home runs, Lenneper’s being a walk off homerun).
In the first game of sections North Wall defeated Sayre Woods 17-13Andy Lenneper pitched 4 1/3 innings only allowing 3 runs. The most consistent hitters of this game were Ryan Megill went 5 for 5 while Sean Larkin was 4 for 5. Mike Griggs hit a mammoth homerun that went 300 feet

In the most exciting game of the tournament, North Wall defeats Nottingham 8-7. Trailing 7-0 going into the bottom of the fifth, Mike Griggs with a 2 rbi base hit, North Wall would hold in the top of the 6th at 7-2. In the bottom of the 6th, Andy Lenneper singled, Cassidy and Scheinenger walked, Riley Maypother with a fielders choice RBI to make it 7-3, putting runners on 1st and 3rd. Sean Larkin hits a 3 run bomb to make it 7-6, Ryan Megill a follows with a homerun to deep center field 7-7, and Mike Griggs hits a walk off homerun in deep right center for the 8-7 come from behind win.
